Baked Honey Sesame Chicken

I was trying to look for a baked chicken recipe and I am so glad I came across this page:
Baked Honey Sesame Chicken

It is so easy to prepare and it is definitely worth a try!
I made the recipe 3 times already! I guarantee that it is super delicious.

I’ll put the recipe here but please visit her page.

2 tablespoons unsalted butter
8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
2 green onions, thinly sliced

1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
1 teaspoon Sriracha
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
To make the sauce, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, brown sugar, rice wine vinegar, ginger, Sriracha, sesame oil, cornstarch and pepper in a small bowl; set aside.
Melt butter in a large oven-proof skillet over medium high heat. Add chicken, skin-side down, and sear both sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Stir in honey mixture.
Place into oven and roast until completely cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 175 degrees F, about 25-30 minutes. Then broil for 2-3 minutes, or until caramelized and slightly charred.
Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions, if desired.

Looks yummy, Tastes yummy!
It is sweet but it you can taste the mixture of spices.. (I didn’t put sriracha coz I don’t eat spicy stuff).
It’s like barbeque with a bit of crispy skin everyone will love!

By the way, today I tried marinading it overnight and cooking it in the stove instead of the oven. Delicious as expected!

Oreo Cheesecake Cookies

I came across a cookie recipe in Facebook and I tried it immediately because I like Oreo Cheesecake!

1 bar (8oz) of cream cheese, equivalent to 8 ounces
1 cup butter at room temperature
2 cups white sugar
2 tsps vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup mini chocolate chips
1 1/2 – 2 cups crushed Oreo cookies, approximately 10-15 pieces

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Crush the Oreo cookies.
Cream the butter and cream cheese together.
Add the sugar and approximately 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. Gradually add the flour into the mixture then the the chocolate chips. Mix everything together.
Using the measuring spoon (1 tablespoon) or a small ice cream scoop, scoop the cookie dough and form a ball. Roll the cookie dough ball on the crushed Oreo.
Arrange the balls on your greased cookie pan/sheet, about half to one inch apart.
Bake for 12-14 minutes. After baking, do not leave the cookies on the hot cookie sheet for too long, you may transfer your cookies on a cooling rack.

Thanks to Lazypen for this easy and yummy recipe!

Happy Birthday to our Got7’s Jackson!

Saengil Chukha Hamnida uri Jackson!

I love Got7!
Love every member, their songs, choreo & their characters.. 🙂
When I first saw Jackson, I really didn’t like him coz he seemed arrogant.
But I was wrong!
Now, he is my bias since October of 2014.

He is such a joker and likes to talk a lot.
You will never get bored when you watch his shows.
I started to like him when I watched him in Roommate Season 2 then Hitmaker Season 1&2.
I even purchased his signed Got7 Identify album online.. 🙂

Jackson Wang, 22, is from Hong Kong.
A fencing athlete who went to Korea to pursue his dream to become a Kpop Singer.
He was even a gold medalist! That explains his nice bod.
He is a member of GOT7 male group from JYP Entertainment.
He & Mark (sometimes with JB) are in charge of the group’s stunts.
He is one of the rappers of the group but I also love his singing voice.
He likes to joke and I find it entertaining when he becomes too sensitive and acts hurt all the time.
He is also sweet with his members and he knows how to have fun.

I also loved it when he was paired with Youngji from KARA in Roommate.
He seems like a sweet and decent guy under his bad boy facade.

But what I love the most about him is how he values his family.
I cried buckets of tears during the Christmas episode when he saw his parents again.
I watched it when I was in Singapore away from my family which made it more meaningful.

Today, I saw his post in Instagram and I can’t help but smile knowing he is a loving and kind son.

His love for his family is so genuine that his mom posted a very touching message to him on his birthday.
I really teared up while reading the message.

Once again, Happy Birthday Jackson!
P.S. Somehow I wish to see him in a drama someday.. 🙂

Got7 just made their comeback last week.
I super love his deep voice in his rap!

Problems I Encountered with my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

UPDATE: April 13, 2016
The memory card trick worked. Now I am no longer experiencing the problems 3 & 4.
My phone is also not overheating that much and I am getting used to the edge screen.. 🙂
Hooray for that!

UPDATE: June 24, 2016
I decided to buy a Samsung Evo+ 64gb memory card because I needed more memory space. Now, I no longer experience problems with it except the slow loading of my 20,000+ photos haha- I guess it is understandable.

Okay, I played around with my new phone within the last 4 days and sadly, I encountered a number of problems.
It was actually quite a surprise because I didn’t encounter such problems with my last Samsung smartphone 2 years ago which was the Samsung Note 3.

Anyway, it’s true that you cannot get the best of both worlds.
However, don’t get me wrong, I still love my S7 edge with all its features!
I am trying to live with the cons and trying to figure out how to solve the problems.

So let me enumerate the issues I encountered with my new phone:

1. Overheating
This was the first thing I noticed with the phone. It heats up pretty quickly. What I did was to close all apps open and it will return back to normal.

2. Super Sensitive Screen
Okay, because it has a curved screen, I tend to click/press a lot of buttons, apps/ letters. I know I chose the edge so I just need to get use to it. I am getting there don’t worry.

3. Camera Failure
The first two issues are fine with me. However, this 3rd issue is really a problem to me.
First Camera Issue: It takes photos but you can’t open it after.
I passed through a nice bike yesterday and I took photo of it to send to my friends. When I was in the car (far away from the bicycle), I was frustrated because the photo is not readable. I am still wondering why because it was a photo taken by the phone itself. Ugh. Really sucks.

Second Camera Issue: “Unable to save photo to SD Card”.
The phone has an internal storage of 32gb. The system memory, apps & others however, will use up around 18gb of your internal storage. So I prefer to save photos & videos in my 64 MicroSD Card (comes free with the phone).
BUT I encountered this problem maybe 3 times already– Unable to save photo to SD card.
I really don’t know what’s the problem but it is really not acceptable.

4. MicroSD Card Issues
Somehow the second camera issue might be because of this. Suddenly, the phone seems to have problems reading the MicroSD card.

Transferring Apps to SD Card- A Big NO NO.
They said that some apps can be saved to the SD Card. So I tried it to free up some of the internal storage. I transferred Viber, Photoshop, WordPress to the SD Card. What happens next? I saw some error notifications and then I cannot open the apps. In the end, I needed to uninstall and redownload the 3 apps.

Gallery Errorsssssssss
Changing phones from Iphone to Iphone or Samsung to Samsung is a breeze because you have backed up most of your data and you just need to update your new phone and voila! Everything is already in your new phone.
However, my previous phone is an Iphone so I needed to save my 14,000+ photos to the SD card and slot it in my Samsung phone. It is still a no-brainer task but now, the SD card keeps on failing. It won’t read my photos!

For issues 3 & 4, what I did was to format my Kingston 64gb SD card using my phone (Settings > Storage > Portable Storage > Format). All my photos and music were erased and I needed to copy them all again in my formatted SD Card. At first it solved the problem, but I encountered the same issues again. So now, I formatted my Samsung 32gb SD card and I am using it now for the meantime. As of this moment, my SD card seems to be working fine. *Cross Fingers

Actually, I am still very happy with my new phone. I am hoping for a new system update which might be the answer to the problems I encountered.

Anyway, if you want a more technical approach on the issues you may visit Digital Trends.
